Patient Reported Outcome Measures collected by APPROACH
Since 1995, APPROACH has collected generic and disease specific patient reported outcome measures (PROMs). Historically these surveys were sent to patients at baseline (within 2 weeks of cardiac catheterization procedures) and subsequently at 1, 3, and 5 years of follow-up. Currently the survey is being sent to patients at baseline and 1 year of follow-up.

The detail and depth of the APPROACH database provides unparalleled opportunities to examine the fairness and efficacy in Alberta's provision of cardiac health services.
The APPROACH team has conducted quality of life analyses, economic evaluations, examinations of health care access, bias, and clinical outcomes research. This research has appeared in high-impact, international and national journals.
